Hi, I’m your guide Don Botterill.
I’m a born and bred KwaZulu Natalian. My great grandfather William was sent to South Africa as a British soldier under Lord Chelmsford in 1879 during the Anglo/Zulu war. He also fought in the Boer war of 1881.
After the war he stayed in Natal, married a colonial girl and subsequently five generations of our family were born here.
I’ve traveled a fair bit around the world and I’m convinced that there are few places that have what we have in KwaZulu Natal – history, mountains, sea, Big Five Game Reserves, world heritage sites, world famous battlefields and diverse populations and cultures.
After many years in the business world the time came for me to indulge in my favorite pastime which is showing the best of this fascinating province to foreign and local visitors.
I’m a qualified KwaZulu Natal guide with years of experience. I’m known for designing safe, reliable and well structured tours.
My prices are client orientated and I take pride in providing a quality service with attention to detail. My clients expect high standards of safety comfort and reliability and go home with happy and lasting memories.
